A small, useful discovery
Where was it made?
Creativity Map connects creative works to the places where they took shape, starting in Toronto and reaching into Ontario. This is a working public-facing prototype, with sourced works.
Evidence before a pin.
Recording, writing, painting and live performance are different stages of creation. None automatically establishes where an idea first occurred. Each story says exactly what its source supports.
- locations have approximate orientation markers. Coordinates have not been independently surveyed or verified as entrances.
- places have no marker because coordinates remain unverified or the evidence supports only a broader area.
- A shared place or creator connects works; it does not prove that unrelated people met.
- The network shows documented relationships within this starter collection. An absent path means “not in this collection”.
Made to be explored.
Search and filter the catalogue, read a story, or follow a connection. Dates refer to the stage described, and provisional dates are labelled. Sources were checked on 15 October 2026.
Decorative patterns are original interface graphics, not reproductions of the artworks or album covers. There are no accounts, analytics or live AI calls. Background maps load from OpenStreetMap; opening a source takes you to that publisher’s site.
A growing collection.
This first edition reflects available research, not a ranking or a complete picture of Toronto’s creative communities. More media, creators and neighbourhoods can follow as evidence is checked.
